Bob Thall was born in Chicago in 1948. He studied as both an undergraduate and graduate student at the University of Illinois, Chicago with Joseph Jacna, Robert Stiegler and Esther Parada. In 1975 he became part of the group of photographers who worked on the Seagram Corporation’s documentary project, Court House, which resulted in both a traveling exhibition and important book. In addition to commissioned architectural photography Thall continues to work on his own projects which emphasize the cityscape and its construction.
